El Tesoro Paradiso Extra Añejo Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Highlands, Mexico
Reviewed February 9, 2024Lucky enough to have a bar manager pour me a pour of this in Nashville because i told him El Tesoro is my favorite tequila. I must say this was a very good tequila but unlike any other extra anejo ive had before. Less barrel and more fresh agave and “tequila” taste. Really glad i got to try this because its not a bottle in my usual budget and its very hatd to find if i ever did decide to treat myself and buy a bottle. 2/4/24Pushing Daisies -
Templeton Rye Barrel Strength (2022 Edition)
Rye — (bottled in) Iowa, USA
Reviewed January 15, 2024 (edited January 20, 2024)Bringing in the new year by opening a new one. I loved the 10 year so figured this would be another solid offwring from Templeton. First off i love the new bottle design it looks really good on any shelf and is indicative of whats inside of it…..good product. If you like MGP and you like their ryes this will be right up your alley. To be honest it was a bit hot the first couple pours but only sitting a couoke weeks its already simmering down. As the expert review states add a few drops or a small cube to hour glass and this stuff shines! For $60 i feel this one is a bargain that I’d purchase many times over if i see it. 1/15/24 -
Amarula Cream Liqueur
Dairy/Egg Liqueurs — South Africa
Reviewed November 16, 2023 (edited November 17, 2023)Wow haven’t had this since my early 20’s. Brings back memories of drinking this with our South African friend Jean (pronounced John)after our high school years. Such a smooth creamy flavor that tastes like nothing else I can describe. So so good!23.0 USD per Bottle -
If someone asked me what bourbon tastes like and wanted me to grab something off the shelf as a good example this would be it. I bought this on a whim for a bourbon party and wanted something ive never tried before to share. Knowing nothing about this, besides what the label tells us, i placed my $55+ tax on the counter and walked outbof the liqour store. Smells like a typical middle of the road bourbon nothing wild and reminds me of 1792 small batch or a chestnut farms basically any barton product. Upon tasting it nothing stands out, good or bad, its not memorable but its also not easy to forget you’ve tried it. I dig it because of that. Goes down easy and with a cube its even easier. I really like that its neutral in the world of whiskeys trying to stick out. So here’s my beef. $55+tax so almost $65 for a bottle that reminds me of a $30-35 bottle. The bottle itself is beautiful and certainly makes it look like a $55 bottle so hats off to the marketing department but for the pricepoint i cant see myself buying this again with so many other choices to try around the same price point. But if you’re on the fence and want to try something new or want to bring an impressive bottle to a party full of bourbon amateurs this woukd make an excellent choice. Good sipper that would be a great crowd pleaser for those new to the spirit. 9/19/2355.0 USD per Bottle

Rose gin? Never heard of her until i was looking for a gin to refill my liquor cabinet for G&T’s during sunmer time. Ran across this and im familiar with the irish whiskey but never knew they made a gin. The price is what jumped out at me, clearance for $9.99. What the heck ill give er a taste for $10. Well, probably the best $10 ive spent in a while since it does the job mixing as a mixer even though it makes my G&T’s pink. I still think St. Augustine is hands down the best gin for the money out there but im going back tomorrow snd buying up the rest of these st $10 so my G&T’s are gonna be pink for awhile. I bet it makes a good gimlet for my wife as well and she’ll love the pink too. 8/8/239.99 USD per Bottle

Bought this based on price. Not what i was expecting for an anejo snd now i realize why this is only $44 USD. Had a lot of burn for an anejo and very little oak or sweetness. Lesson learned dont go for budget anejos. I like the silver and reposado expressions of milagro for making drinks but was looking for a sipoer and this is definitely not it. 8/4/2344.0 USD per Bottle
