Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Medium-dark amber with long legs.
Nose: Caramel, vanilla, apples.
Palate: Some baking spice, lots of sweet clove and mint.
Finish: Long with medium heat.
Splash: Oak and leather notes appear, and more sweet clove.
Overall: 9.5/10 - This is spectacular and complex. Honestly, I wish I could get my hands on more.
Nose is really spiced caramel in a beautiful way. Big cinnamon cherry vanilla BT Mashbill #1 bomb but then moves into a more bitter/tannic oak that keeps it from being a 5/5 however its still in the upper tier of bourbon period. I think 15y3mo might be a little too long to have aged this and that if this was at 12y it’d be perfect. Does drink under its proof. Overall incredible
