George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2017)

Best bourbon I’ve had.

Nose- sweet darker sugars, molasses, spices and char, barrel comes softer Taste- spice and heat! Then fades quickly into vanilla and oakey sawdust, slightly bitter note rounds out the swallow. Some leather funk. Finish- oak and brown sugar, baking spices and heat fades out to richer flavors like tanning leather and cherry.

Nose - Sweeeeeet vanilla. What heaven should smell like. The toasted brown sugar shoots out if the glass. Custardy like almost like a creme brulee. Palate - Cinnamon vanilla custard. So incredibly desserty it should be illegal. Slight heat but enjoyable. Wow! Finish - Smooth and delicious is the only words that are fit for this bourbon.

No words. I use the rating scale below. Distiller uses a scale of 5 and I use a scale of 10, but I’m sure you’re not too drunk to do the math! 1. Disgusting - So bad I poured it out. 2. Poor - I wouldn't consume by choice. 3. Bad - Multiple flaws. 4. Below average - Not bad, but many things I'd rather have. 5. Good - Just average. 6. Very Good - Better than average. 7. Great - Well above average. 8. Excellent - In a league of its own. 9. Incredible - An all-time favorite. 10. Perfect
