George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2017)

Very good

Too much punch neat. nice flavors. Old leather, and like licking the floor of an abandoned dusty saloon, in a good way. That said, nice, but overpriced and overrated.

Nose: butterscotch candy, vanilla, and graham cracker pie crust. Palate: might be the most syrupy I’ve ever had, nice spice, tart cherries, Finish: Spicy heat and lime zest. This is just so good.

Great all the way throughout. One of my favorites.

Hot up front but great depth and flavor. long on the finish. Enjoyed much more as a 1 oz pour for special occasions than as a drinker.
