Gin Vogel

Vogel is a Brazilian gin was born within Bautzen Brewery of Itatiaiuçu, Minas Gerais. Symbolizing the free and adventurous spirit, Gin Vogel is an ode to freedom, an invitation to dare to do things differently, to seek out the new. The exaltation of the local environment is very important for the identity of a distillate, both for the raw material used (in the case of Gin, the botanicals), and for the very “spirit” of the place where it is produced, which carries a symbolic and historical load that must be considered. Aware of this, there was a different approach that escaped previously established bottles and labels, but at the same time, maintained the essence of Minas Gerais already known by all Brazilians. Thus, the entire identity and packaging of the gin was developed, from the choice of the bottle (an exclusive container produced and imported that resembles an explorer's canteen) to the illustration and finishing in "Hot Stamp" (symbolizing the trails and the act of search for the new), to the use of a more porous and rustic substrate for the label that dialogues with the challenges of an adventure. Everything was thought to convey this feeling of adventure and daring. There is only one problem in all this: the name chosen for this Brazilian gin. Vogel is also the name of a gin produced in Germany (Vogel, German word for bird) in a traditional distillery called House of the Ruhr, with more than 130 years of existence in the Ruhr valley. So, if they are going to export to Europe, Brazilian gin will certainly have to change its name.
