I definitely need to begin with a little rant here because I don't understand how there could really be anything less than 4 stars for this diamond in the rough. I mean we have to start by understanding that it's like a $35 bottle at most. Friends, it is definitely worth the price, it is most definitely unique in that you get that speyside burn with a a chardonnay barrel twist and its a single malt 10 year! Sure just because it says "10" year and its under $35 doesn't mean it will absolutely taste good. (Lismore would be an example that comes to mind) but honestly, you will not regret this purchase if you're into speyside style whiskey. Its vanilla in the front, builds on intensity and ends with a pretty spicy dry finish. Bottom line is that it's highly recommended for anyone on a budget that is looking for a single malt, with a great profile. (do not add water to this one)
