Glen Moray Elgin Classic Cabernet Cask Finish

Light gold color, with a nose of blackberries. Taste is astringent, and somewhat peaty, with notes of vanilla and cloves. Has a lingering finish of anise and black fruit, and has a very velvety rich mouthfeel. Overall not a bad value, as we got it on clearance at our local liquor store, but not my favorite scotch.

Very cool bouquet on the nose. Literally can feel the cabernet. Body is disappointing.

Speyside whiskey, not smoky A little bit sharp on the 40s that goes away quickly and quite smooth on the aftertaste slips down very easily!

Some apple our pear notes heavy alcohol taste

Definitely a lot of clean speyside malt with fruity notes from the cask, but as opposed to the buttery chard, the cab ends up more chocolatey
