Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve

Very smooth, great flavor

Open 2 months Nose - Butterscotch, toffee, sweet cereal grain and malt, French toast, light honey, pear, green apple, and light ethanol. Palate - Molasses, toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, vanilla, crème brulee, butter cream, baking spices, and sweet oak. Finish is medium with drier oak tannins, clove, allspice, rye bread, cocoa, and light ethanol. This is a really great Scotch for the money. Compared to a lot of 14Y and 15Y Scotches on the market, this is markedly cheaper and 86 proof to boot. It has all of the classic single malt flavors mixed with sweet and spicy bourbon notes. I bet this would be phenomenal at cask strength.

I have been looking for a cheap scotch to have as a daily drinker. I avoided glenfiddich because the packaging looked like something from hobby lobby. However the reviews in this particular dram were overwhelmingly positive. I went ahead and put my ego aside and bought this. I’m massively disappointed. It taste like a poor man’s monkey shoulder that I paid. $22 more for. Glenfiddich 15 year is much better. Trying to bridge the gap between bourbon and scotch lovers just didn’t work for me.

Pretty solid. Excellent for the price point $37. Nice n smooth I get woodsy oakey vanilla flavors coming thru. If I were to nit pick it I'd say it has a kinda short and dry finish and that's it. Try one 👍🥃

Very soft and vanilly flavor

Not a scotch guy but wow, this is incredible very sweet flavor and get a lot of vanilla. Picking up the bourbon flavors in this compared to traditional Glenfiddich/scotch flavors. They’re still there but really enjoy this.
