(3.9) Tasting In Den Bockhamer.

The sweet and the smoke play really nice together both on the nose and on the pallet. Tropical fruit and honey with dry peat smoke in the back. Not overly sweet and not overly peaty, nice combination and well executed. Not the best whisky you can have but a very good whisky to accompany your summer barbecue.

Very sweet with slightest hint of peat but very short finish. Very unassuming for 43% and potential gateway scotch for those trying to get into peated drams. Not bad for the price.

Starts with a blast of sweetness, but then transitions into red fruit and sugar cane. A very light amount of smokiness runs underneath, and a bit more at finish. Finish is quite short and sweet.
