The nose is light smoke and butterscotch. On the palette, the butterscotch picks up a hint of peat and a bit of spice. The flavors are rich and full with vanilla and toffee and a sweet something that is familiar but elusive joining in. The finish is oak with a hint smoke and a touch of salt and lingers. Throughout, the alcohol is hiding and never intrusive.
