Honey and citrus with a bite of ginger. Sweet honey, orange peel, apricots and sour grapes coat the mouth with a medium finish. Perfectly suited as a summer sipper on the porch with friends. A sweet dessert dram for sure.
As soon as i out the glasd to my nose honey and warm apple pie come on strong. The mouthfeel is rich and buttery, honey and apple persist on the palate with a warm earthy, woody tone that is usually present in Scotch but without any harshness or bitterness. I’m not a scotch drinker generally as I prefer Bourbon and tequila. However, the ex-bourbon barrel aging meant this was up my alley and Glenmorangie has a good reputation overall. For someone who is not crazy about Scotch or just wants a great pour under $70 (for me)that’s why i had to give 5⭐️
