Glenturret Peated Edition (43%)

Picked this up at the Highland Whiskey Shop while in Inverness. The shop owner recommended it and gave my son and I a dram to taste. We were both hooked and made the purchase. The peat is spot on and is up there with the Islay’s. Detect sweet notes of stone fruits with citrus on the palate and nose. Campfire smoke. Very nice and my go to peated single malt at the moment.

Actually very good. A surprise. I could not place the unique smell or taste but I liked it.

Outstanding salty butterscotch nose. Dark full and round palate. Peat and spice doesn’t arrive until the rather weak finish. 24-22-21-22=89

Nose: Light smoke, pineapple, citrus, tea biscuts Palate: milk chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla Finish: More smoky but we'll balanced.
