Tasting Notes
"The aroma isn't super expressive on the nose, but it does open up just a touch if you let it breath in the glass for a few minutes. Eventually, you'll find some prickly rye spice, old wood, and eventually some dried fruit with molasses. The rum is soft on the palate with a watery viscosity and it's lightly sweet on the tongue and warming in the chest. Flavorwise, you'll get some cooked banana, apple skins and rye spice. While there is some sweetness, this is most definitely not a dessert rum. In fact, the rye flavors almost balance the rum so that will be a plus or minus for you depending on what you're hoping to experience. "
