Old Parr 12 Year

The smell of this whiskey is just amazing! It's got sherry, tobacco, honey, heather, peat, smoke, and cinnamon all mixed together. When you take a sip, you can taste the honey, heather, and smoke all working together to create a smooth and delicious flavor. And the finish is just perfect with a blend of cinnamon, smoke, and citrus that really hits the spot. This is definitely a whiskey that you don't want to miss out on!

Nose: not broad but surprisingly pleasant with orchard fruits, honey, brown sugar, a light peat, ocean sea salt air, toasted nuttiness, hint of a sherry finish. Palate: fruity, honey, baking spices, hint of chocolate (more on the finish), oak, peaty and barrel ashiness, mild peppery barrel spices, somewhat short finish. For a very friendly budget blend, this is actually quite pleasant. The nose may not be complicated or impressive, but the palate is actually better than it noses. A fun little find.

On est dans le fruit avec la poire, pomme cuite et peche. Honnêtement efficace pour satisfaire un envie de whisky en amerique latine. On est pas dans les top scotchs, manque pour y être de complexité et d'intensité. Le whisky est également tres lineaire et la finale est plutot courte. Bien apprecié mon experience somme toute avec les fruits compotés.
