Grand Traverse Cherry Whiskey

I absolutely adore this whisky. Their standard bourbon is pretty amazing, too, but I really love this whisky. It's a bourbon with cherry flavor, but most cherry whiskys have that gross cough syrup taste. This really is a whisky with it's cherry notes accentuated. It makes a fantastic old fashioned, ans is pretty great straight up, too.

Not fake tasting. Tart

Makes a smooth Old Fashioned. Just okay neat or on the rocks.

Very sweet, no burn or bite, light flavor

Aroma smells just like a fresh jar of cocktail cherries, some of the sweetness comes down as it opens, but that sweet cocktail cherry overtone stays dominant; Palate has that same cherry profile to it, but it also picks up a vanilla and spice note that merge and remind of Cherry Vanilla Coke; Finish is just pure cherries from a tin.
