Grand Traverse Ole George 100% Straight Rye

Seren liked it. Good viscosity, lots of pepper and spice. Good sipper, better in a cocktail.

Very barrel forward smell and taste to me. Smooth on the back end but does not hold flavor very long. Overall it’s okay.

The nose is a bit sharp with hints of vanilla sweetness. There isn’t a lot happening in the palate. Hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is medium with a mild bite given it’s 100 proof. Not a bad everyday whiskey.

Pretty plain flavor with little burn. Not worth the price.
