The nose is soft with salted caramel and hints of fruit. Salted caramel is in the front while sweet fruit lingers for the finish. Mild smokiness throughout makes for a conplex, yet balanced palate.

A nice bourbon but not worth it for the price. This is more harsh and has more bite than the double oaked and costs 4-6x as much.

While peat is still present here, the peat is not as prevalent as Laphroaig 10. The finsih is a bit more dry and harsh as well. I stuggle to find the vanilla sweetness noted by others. Still, a nice whisky.

This is a sweeter, slightly milder version of the classic Laphroaig. Still plenty of smoke, peat, and iodine. Like drinking a sweet tire.
