Reviewed August 12, 2022Charred wood and caramel aromas. Flavors are vanilla. More wood. A bit of peat. Some smoke. The burn is minimal. The finish is a little lacking. -

Reviewed December 14, 2021 (edited July 16, 2024)The color is amber with a touch more red than usual. The rum comes through immediately on the nose. In the background are hints of brown sugar and undistinguishable floral notes. The first taste the brown sugar and hints of cinnamon come through. The molasses pushes it’s way to the forefront. Almost sort of a baked goods vibe. Finish is pleasant leaving the taste of the warm spices in your mouth. A touch of bitterness ther, but not as overwhelming as I have experienced with other Grangestone products. The rum is more subtle than in other Rum cask finishes I’ve tasted, but some of the base flavors that come from more of a spiced rum are there. Feels like a deep winter Scotch. -

Reviewed December 10, 2021Spicy, burnt brown sugar, white pepper. No real finish or lingering taste. Thin. Not my favorite.
