Green River Distilling Co. was founded in 1885, but after a fire in 1918 followed by Prohibition the distillery closed. This bottling marks the first whiskey from the brand in over 100 years.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma is moderately intense with classic vanilla and char smoke notes, but there's also a back note of apples and black cherries there as well. The bourbon is tangy with a nice savory/sweet balance going on along with a touch of leather. The finish is slightly oily with a bittersweet taste and moderate barrel spices. Pretty good value considering the price point ~ $35 which makes it a good daily dram."
