Greenore Single Grain 8 Year
Greenore // Ireland
This single grain whiskey is produced using predominately corn with just a splash of barley. Typically, single grain whiskey is used for blending, but Greenore is not only produced to shine on its own, but is aged for 8 years. First fill bourbon barrels are utilized here.
Single GrainDistilled from a grain or mixture of grains, usually corn, wheat, or barley from one distillery, if Scotch or Irish must be aged for at least three years in barrels.
"The nose is fairly fragrant with sweet corn, but also includes freshly sliced green apples, coconut, and gentle wood spices. The vanilla picks up a bit more on the palate which starts off silky, but finishes on the oily side. There is a nice tangy quality to the dram that has you salivating for another sip. "
