Hartman's Bourbon

Vey pleasant for a lower proof bourbon. Dont let the light color fool you, it drinks higher than its proof with spice and pepper on the backend. Really get a caramel apple on the nose. Does seem a bit thin so could be on the youthful side, however highly enjoyable for something on the lighter side. A bit steep in price so would like to see come down a bit.

This is the Experimental Series; Release #2. The flavor you get from it being finished in a used Imperial Stout Barrel makes this bourbon unique. The chocolate flavor is quite noticeable but not too overpowering. I will enjoy drinking this one occasionally and I will keep the pours to myself. If you have the chance (probably not), I would definitely recommend this for it’s uniqueness.

Great bourbon from a great local distillery! Nice depth of flavor with hints of vanilla, toffee and clove.
