Nose: Acetone, but it's a fruity, sugary acetone that's very pleasant. Nods to the note by
@cuban-convert below - roasted vanilla, spiced citrus and nail polish. Nothing much I can add to that, except maybe a bit of fragrant tobacco. It's a good nose.
Palate: The arrival is ethanol-sweet, almost verging on sour or bitter, but not quite. On the development some chocolate and brown sugar/toffee, but it's light and fleeting. The palate is less than the nose, but sweet and pleasant. Fig and date flavours amongst the molasses. Good mouth-feel.
Finish: Medium, burnt sugar trailing off to a slightly coffee-like end with a few metallic notes.
I found this to be quite bourbon-like in both the nose and palate - a light sugary bourbon. I got no banana at all, however, but maybe a little hint of the pineapple mentioned in the official notes. Very enjoyable and great value at the price, drinkable neat and a fine mixer (try it in a dirty mojito substituting agave syrup for sugar, yum!)
