This is a very fine gin when you can find it. I have tried the Old Tom Gin from Haymans and this is a much better offering in my humble opinion. It has a much better body and the botanicals stand out more in cocktails than the Old Tom. First off I noticed the juniper and coriander on the nose with some citrus. The body is a wonderful citrus mix with a few deeper spices closing out the sip. However, this is a Navy Strength Gin if you make drinks at regular ratios like 3 to 1 for a Martini, 2 to 1 for a Gin and Tonic, or 2 to 1 for a Gimlet it will put you to sleep. I made a Vesper once with this and my ears began to ring on the second sip. But it is worth it. The flavors are so smooth and the price is great but it is not always available in SC where I live. This is a true step up from the regular Haymans and the Old Tom version. Enjoy.
