Hell-Cat Maggie Irish Whiskey

This is the worst Irish whisky I have ever purchased. I used to say you can't go wrong with an Irish, but this one proved me wrong. I gave a shot to my buddy, who commented, "Don't ever do that to me again!"

Caramel, light sweet, decent

On the nose toast, ethanol, honey, toffee, grain and a touch of lemon, but ultimately quite faint. Sweet and thin on the palate, with a bunch of orange, sugar, caramel, ethanol and a little burnt toast. Short sweet finish. Not a lot going on here, but that’s pretty much as expected. Satisfactory considering I bought it for a party, but that’s about it.

Smooth. Minimal burn good straight. Initial Carmel note

Nose: Mild ethanol, but sweet, honeyed, caramely Palate: Instant ethanol burn and a strange rye like spice note. Finish: Lingers shortly, with a light and sweet finish. Overall pretty decent for the price. That strange peppery note is still very unexpected, but not unwelcome. I imagine this works well with ginger beer.
