4.5 out of 5 stars
Nose: Vanilla, dark wood, pitted fruit, & smoky
Palate: Mild on front, not alcohol-forward, smooth. On back, mild burn, sweet. Notes of chocolate-covered cherries, dark chili ate.
Finish: Short, intense finish. Warm but not too hot.
I love me some McKenna! This stuff is very Woody but extremely balanced with all the bourbon characters one looks for. I taste heavy oak, faint bubble gum, leather, cherrys, apples, and nutmeg. I also taste a beautiful floral note similar to what I get on four roses and it just takes my tongue for a ride like I’m zipping through Route 66 after escaping from my mother in-laws soup party. Hard whiskey to beat right here, especially for the price as I got for 39 dollars and I won’t tell you where. Cheers 🥃
Nose is vanilla and buttery
Flavor is simple and uncomplicated vanilla and butterscotch not to hot fairly smooth. Great bourbon for msrp wouldn’t pay over 40 for it.
