In an effort to try and wash away my heartache after the Saints loss opened this bottle. Nose is alcohol, burnt brown sugar, more heat, slight spice. On palate, some dark fruit sweetness, oak (slightly bitter), spicy finish that is medium to long. The finish is more hot alcohol than Rye spice. Or, maybe a combination. Picks up some momentum as the glass dwindles. Overall, it’s okay for $27.00, but probably won’t buy again. Wouldn’t turn it down. Had higher hopes. I’ll stick with my Weller at this price point. Or, Four Roses small batch. I do like the 100 proof though.
