High Coast Älv

Bottle age: - First pour Appearance: - Bright and clear, almost white wine-like in appearance. Nose: - Pear, Vanilla, Coconut Palate: - Pear/Apple, Vanilla, Oak, Sweet cake, mild spice Finish: - Fades quickly, but leaves a pleasant coating of vanilla and oak. Comments: - Clean and simple, very light. Could be a great whisky for beginners getting into single malt whisky. Very easy to drink. Exceptionally well balanced. Memorable in its simplicity, though it doesn’t quite deliver that extra spark or wow factor.

Apple and vanilla on the scent and flavor as well. A bit harsh all around but the strong peppery vanilla makes up for it.

God whisky med smak av vanilj. Fruktig smak. Ännu godare med lite vatten.

Nose: Light vanilla notes, oak, a little berry. Mouth: Vinous, yeasty, possible autumn apple, yellow overripe pears. Somewhat thin and boozy but quite peppery, which gives a nice balance. Sweetness reminiscent of pure white dog. Finish: Light oak, slightly bitter and spirity. Not great fun but works. Overall: A dram I think does better in the lighter months of summer. An alternative that I think is reminiscent of this is Teeling Rum Cask.
