Reviewed November 24, 2020 (edited December 2, 2020)Nose - Sweet gentle peat, black pepper, charcoal/mineral, thin honey, crisp but not sweet apples, light brine Taste - Sweet clean peat, saline, white pepper heat/tingle, gentle vanilla simple syrup, filtered apple juice, hint of ash, charcoal, gentle generic/dry apple sweet Finish - Long lingering white pepper tingle, lingering ashy but clean smoke, gentle charcoal filtered apple juice sweetness with a faint hint of minerality Score - 86/100 Final Thoughts - I'm not typically a huge fan of peat, but this one is done quite nicely. It's a very clean peat smoke influence and isn't unpleasant. This actually reminds me quite a bit of a Port Charlotte in that it has a very clean peat/smoke influence and additionally has a very clean sweetness to it. It's not quite only simple syrup, but it's like a generic "crisp" fruit, like an unripe apple that's sweet, but w/o the apple flavor. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - No NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.
