High West Campfire (Discontinued)

I understand te mixed reviews on this, but on the completely subjective personal level that is the ultimate decider of preference, I just love this whiskey. Peat and smoke on the nose but mild sweet taste on the back end. Identity crisis in the best way, this is the fight club of whiskeys. From behind the bar, I often recommend this as a jumping off point for customers interested in peaty scoth but who don't want to go full Islay . Also with the right preparation, this can be such an amazing foundation for cocktails. One of the first whiskeys I truly fell in love with.

Really interesting blend. Peat is evident on the nose with hints of sweetness representing Bourbon. Flavors mix pretty well together, with elements of each rather balanced and no profile overpowering. Mellow smoke overlaps the taste with rye spice complementing the finish.
