Gran Patrón Piedra Extra Añejo Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed February 4, 2017 (edited April 17, 2022)Really interesting smoke tends to this. The only thing it's missing is a fuller mouth feel but the packaging and over all value is there. -
Gran Patrón Burdeos Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed February 4, 2017 (edited April 17, 2022)Sweet Carmel and vanilla on the front with such a smooth agave finish on the back. I could not think of a more perfect transition of high end whiskey to tequila. So lucky to have tried this on more than one occasion. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed November 22, 2016 (edited April 17, 2017)I understand te mixed reviews on this, but on the completely subjective personal level that is the ultimate decider of preference, I just love this whiskey. Peat and smoke on the nose but mild sweet taste on the back end. Identity crisis in the best way, this is the fight club of whiskeys. From behind the bar, I often recommend this as a jumping off point for customers interested in peaty scoth but who don't want to go full Islay . Also with the right preparation, this can be such an amazing foundation for cocktails. One of the first whiskeys I truly fell in love with. -
Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Frosty Four Wood Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 22, 2016Almost makes me think of a wine that has gone through malo. Very full mouth feel that coats the throat. Brown butter curd and rich vanilla extract. Appreciate the depth but the finish is a bit off for me.
