Vanilla and caramels dance on the toungue before some herbal rye notes start emerging, slightly green, but savory. oak and cereal also come along in the middle right before some tofeee and fig. the finish is laced with moderate peat and has some oily rye notes lingering around. The finish is medium to long, peppery and peaty. Its probably one of my fav bottles to come from high west that ive had. Blends peated malt and american whiskeys wonderfully. Will have to try the newer verision. Shout out to chris for the generous gifting of the bottle!
