Wasn’t a tasting notes kind of setting but the blending was very well done. And I could drink this about anytime. Had I tasted blind I would have thought this was a moderated peated Islay. Not a meaty, salty one like Springbank, but a sweet smoke like laphroiag or highland park (just minus the bandaids). I find this quite enjoyable. New plan - return to friends house who bought on a recommendation but “not his cup of tea” and do him a solid by draining it. Only real knock would be the near $70 retail. All day at 50-55.
