Hudson Single Malt (Discontinued)

50 bucks for a pint is ridiculous. It’s cool to see a single malt American whiskey like this, and did indeed open up nicely with a splash of water. The cereal grain and oak were omnipresent, with a hot finish. It’s good but way too overpriced.

The nose has strong notes of toffee and maple syrup, as well as almond. The palate develops nicely, bringing in dark chocolate with a deep nutty flavor on top of oak spice. Heavy malt, grainy, bitter

Standard whiskey, but smooth enough for a regular night.
