I typically shy away from low proof bourbons and actually prefer a high rye mashbill, but this one shocked me.
N: Floral, fruity, with a hint of tobacco
P: Sweet on the front end, the corn really shows itself. Mid-palate the oak, tobacco, and the rye shines through and you get great spice. Back end is dominated by leather.
F: Very long finish, dominated by tobacco leaves and leather.
This bourbon is complex, delicious, and should not be overlooked. It has jumped into my top 3.
