I.W. Harper 15 Year Bourbon

Amazing nose - spicy rye, maybe some cinnamon, dry wood. Very woody, flavor oak, but almost like cedar too. I usually don't like too much wood, but this is wood at its best! Some caramel, toasted corn, but not overly sweet. Rye bite with cinnamon in the finish, with a really pleasant, but balanced burn, with all the above mentioned wood. Fan-friggin-tastic!! Makes me entertain the foolish notion that I like bourbon as much as scotch ;)

Sweet, full of corn-fueled richness, with a saccharine aftertaste and perfect balance of velvet and warm mouthfeel.

Smells like a bourbon, drinks closer to a scotch. Smokey and sweet.
