Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength Tennessee Whiskey

On my tour to Jack Daniel's Distillery, i had the chance to taste a bomb! A 128.4% proof Single Barrel Select, Barrel Proof. On the nose, i get toffee tastetemptions. Toffee and super honey mix with caramel. Butterscotch. On the palate, i get lemon, very citric with tangerine peel. Aftertaste is about ginger, nice bite. Honey; sugary strong. So sweet it becomes cloying. Overall, this is a superb expression of Jack Daniel's. I really believe the sweetness from the barrel and the charcoal mellowing has been retrieved successfully and it has been transfered into the whiskey. A wonderful dram. 90 over 100.

Has some bite, but if you let it sit in the tongue you get banana chocolate toffee pancakes.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, burnt sugar, masticated bananas, and a mild amount of pear mixed with a wild amount of spice resulting from the high proof of this whiskey. Considering the proof, this does drink hot but is full of flavor. Caramel, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, and some bananas coat the roof of the mouth with sweetness with just the lightest amount of spice. This is a beautiful offering from Jack Daniels and well worth the money. Worthy of the chase as it is not available in my region. *** CHRIS FLETCHER PICK 2021 *** Nose - Thats a nuttier jack nose. I like it. Feels more complex. Palate - Ooo nice job fletch. This is nice. Definitely more oaky and nuttier than a normal sib bp. Def has some sweeter apple notes that are dancing around that proof. Its done like a classic bourbon almost thats high proof. Finish - Lots oak and cinnamon at the end. Has some vanillas but its light. This is a solid one i like it.

Very hot but sweet. Glad i tried it. Dont need to buy it.
