Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey

Had this last night at the Evan Haskill tasting at SidebarGR. Must admit that I liked this much more than I expected to. 2.75

Nothing complex, but also harmless. I could put it on cereal.

Very sweet. Pairs well with tea.

Nose: Alrighty! Well right off the bat there is some funk in the smell; it's similar to car exhaust. I let it breathe for a minute and it's a little better. Do you know what? Though it isn't necessarily bad I get the banana smell I usually find in Jack. However, that banana mixes pretty well with the obvious honey smell and a present oat cereal note, making me think of a breakfast of baked oatmeal with sliced banana and honey. That exhaust funk still lingers, but if I focus on my breakfast I'm okay. Taste: The palate is pretty light and bland besides some vanilla notes but then the finish takes all the honey sweetness you expected and slowly tapers off. Opinion: So I felt obliged to give this honey flavored whiskey a try since I did so for a couple of its peers, and in my opinion they both were better than this dram. I really don't think it's worth it. I'm not purchasing it again. Sorry Jack. Cheers!
