Jameson 18 Year Limited Reserve

Not great aroma for a single spot, average finish. Does not meet my expectation for a 18yo single potstill

A balanced, Blended Irish Whiskey by the Midleton Distillery made from a blend of two pot still Whiskeys & a single grain is matured in Oloroso Sherry casks & finished in Bourbon barrels for 6 months. It has an aromatic birth with notes of orange, apricot, dried fruits, chocolate, bourbon biscuit, hints of wood & toffee; while a smooth life adds notes of caramel, honey, spice, hints of oiled wood, leather, creamy vanilla, Turkish delight & a Sherry nuttiness; that leads to a long & balanced death with notes of oak, spice, toffee & unmalted barley. Nice, smooth, able to drink neat. This is a Jameson I would love to add to my collection and sip on St. Patty's Day.
