A balanced, Stout cask finished Irish Whiskey by Jameson Distillery Bow St. in Ireland in collaboration with Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork. Jameson would send over a bunch of empty Whiskey casks & Franciscan’s would use it to mature their barrel-aged Stout lager. Then, they would send those casks back to age the Irish Whiskey. “Caskmates!”
It has an aromatic birth with notes of cut grass, pear, ripe apple, coffee bean, crush almonds, chocolate liqueur, hints of hops & clove; while a rich & complex life adds notes of marzipan, vanilla cream, hops, cocoa & oak; that leads to a long & balanced death with notes of milk chocolate & butterscotch.
