Jefferson’s Grand Selection Château Pichon Baron French Oak Cask Finish

Bland entry. Just okay

Little vanilla, strong Bordeaux wine finish. Slight burn/astringency

Nose - corn, berry, cherry, rich caramel, sweet wine, vanilla, clove, rye spice, moderate ethanol burn. Taste - toffee, butterscotch, cracked pepper, red wine, grape, spicy vanilla, mild to moderate alcohol bite, finishing quickly with fading tannic, sour red wine flavor. The wine flavor is interesting, but I don’t like the sour finish on it.
