A must taste for any bourbon nerd; amazing story behind it and very interesting flavor profile. Strong vanilla and cherry on the nose with a bit of rye spice. A bit of strong tea when first on the tongue which leads to some rye spice and salted caramel. Toasty and dry finish.
Voyage 15 (wheated). Nice thick mouthfeel. Definitely do get some sea salt on the backend - but it’s not overwhelming. The saltiness gives it a kind of spiciness too. Salt becomes much more apparent after a few sips. 3.84.

NOTE: This was Voyage 16 which is not in the library. Sweet aroma, possibly caramel. Oak and spice. Not incredibly complex but very smooth. I want to say there's a hint of sea salt but it could be my imagination trying to justify the "aged at sea".
