This bottling was first released in 2003 and is aged entirely in ex-bourbon barrels. With an elevation of over 1100 feet above sea level, the climate is quite cool which means the whiskies warehoused here can keep the angels at bay just ever so slightly.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.
"Dried fruit, vanilla, and a touch of lemon peel emerge on the nose with those profiles deepening upon tasting. A small amount of char smoke, coconut, and mint materialize as if they are afraid of their own shadows. The finish is orange zesty and spice filled."
