While Jefferson's is primarily known for its bourbon bottlings, limited edition rye whiskeys have been released by the brand including an Ocean Aged at Sea Rye Whiskey and a Rye finished in Cognac Casks. This rye release from Jefferson's is a made from a blend of straight rye whiskeys (sources not disclosed) aged 9-, 7-, and 6-years-old. Also included in the blend is the aforementioned Ocean Aged at Sea Rye Whiskey.
Bottled at 88 proof, it's available nationwide beginning May 2025. (SRP $34.99).

RyeRye produced in the US must be made of at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels (no age requirement). Elsewhere, it will be made according to the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
Tasting Notes
"The aroma is sweet and fruity with cherries, caramel, and vanilla with a touch of leather, orange peel, and dried grass. It has a medium body with a fairly balanced sweet and spice thing happening. Flavors ultimately lean bittersweet, but perhaps sweeter than rye drinkers may like. Some pencil shavings and charred oak here. Finish is of average length, but it offers a lot to like at a moderate price. Fine to sip, but the price point makes it also a good choice for mixing. "
