Jeptha Creed Four Grain Straight Bourbon

Beautiful facility, but it is too young of a bourbon for me.

I love everything about Jeptha Creed... except the bourbon. I love the story, the distillery setting, the bottle, the people, the other spirits (vodka, moonshine, brandy). The bourbon is meh. A bit too sweet, yet has a medicinal taste too.

Butcher corn notes and tons of flavor.

Stopped by while passing through. I have never heard of Jeptha Creed - I've never seen it in my city. I did not order anything because I was skeptical when everything on the menu was based on cocktail uses - not any bragging about enjoying it by itself. So I tasted a sip of an Old Fashioned. Even through the sweetness of that cocktail, the finish was still astringent and harsh. The set up of the property is beautiful. If someone is making a trip of distilleries, I would recommend a visit. Try a sip if you know someone who owns a bottle. I cannot recommend making a purchase at any time.

Smells like old paint and taste like a 100 year old wood floor plank.
