Jim Beam Black Label bourbon, while decent, doesn’t quite live up to its predecessor, the 8-year-old variant. It presents a nose rich with vanilla and caramel notes. On entry, it offers a smooth experience, with a palate that weaves together the warmth of spice, the sweetness of vanilla, and the richness of caramel. The finish is notable, leaving a lingering taste of pipe tobacco and cinnamon complemented by a subtle touch of oak. In comparison, Evan Williams Black Label Bourbon stands out as superior in flavor to Jim Beam Black Label Bourbon and comes with the added advantage of being more affordable.
