After a long night of drinking and proofing down, I poured this and it just was not good. Really thin I had to put a top on my Glencarin to save it and try it again tomorrow, but it was not drinkable after having many bourbons earlier that were higher proof and high-quality, so I don’t wanna knock it for that given it’s a low priced bourbon, so I’ll just say that it’s something that might be good some nights and really bad other nights. I’ll never buy it again, but will periodically pour a glass of it and honestly if you don’t like it, it’s so cheap you can pour it out, which I hate doing but don’t feel guilty if you do.
very cotton candy, honeydew tart and sweety kind of smell.
on the taste, extremely oaky and smoky. hard to get other notes besides the oaky notes, i kind of get some herbal green tea but very bitter.
mouthfeel is smooth, not oily, maybe silky. very warm and spicy.

On the nose, sweet notes of toffee, vanilla, nutmeg, apple chips, and charred oak. Very oily, moderately tannic mouthfeel. On the palate, more notes of nutmeg, toffee, and vanilla – plus campfire smoke and orange zest. Finish is medium-length and dominated by smoke, with relatively little heat.
3.00/5.00 – Good (neat)
