Jim Beam Distiller's Cut

Solid budget choice at $18 here in FL. Makes a great sour, but also great neat. Full and rich, with classic bourbon notes of vanilla, charred oak, and cherry.

Tastes like a pecan pie all day long.

Doesn't taste 50%, there is no real burn to it. Oaky and herbal on the nose. A little spicy on the taste but mainly sweet and oaky and a little nutty. Got it on clearance for $10 and think it's a steal.

Nose comes up a bit empty and wanting. First sip is dry, spicy and leather. A bit astringent, the burn lingers in the throat and the lips. After a few minutes, the flavor opens to green apple, leather, and vanilla. I get the price point, but no thank you.
