Revisiting this bottle about a year later. Still incredible, especially when the price is considered. Not the best bottle I've ever had, but as good as many bottles I've had at double the price. If this came in closer to 110 instead of 100 proof, it would be one of the best bottles around. Smooth, marshmallow-like, chewy, with just a dusting of peanut, cherry, and cocoa. I paid $70 for a Bulleit single barrel that is surprisingly similar

Strong alcohol on nose and at the start of the palate , but then the burnt sugar , subtle vanilla , hint of roasted peanuts with a peppery and slightly sweet finish. Unchilled , unfiltered gem. Put it in a line up of Bookers and you would not notice the difference ( except country ham which I give a 6 )

tasted this against old granddad bonded since it was the only lower shelf beam I had. it made old granddad taste rough and astringent. Not a bad but for a lower shelf bourbon

Oak immediately jumps out in the nose. Classic nutty Jim Beam taste what a sweet molasses finish. I like it.
