Tasting Notes
"Nuanced is the most descriptive word for this bourbon. Fans of big and bold bourbons need not apply. The bouquet is light, with a solid grain note, medium oak, vanilla and caramel. After a few minutes in the glass, a distinct oat aroma appears, and there is a mild nuttiness in the background. On the palate, this red-amber liquid is deft and restrained. Very mild spice notes, particularly cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, with medium oak and light grain making appearances. A quick finish with more light cinnamon, reminiscent of Big Red chewing gum appears and then fades quickly with a touch of mint at the very end. "
