This bourbon from Kiepersol distillery in Tyler, TX is named for WWII torpedo pilot Jimmy Hines (hence the goggles on the bottle), "synonymous with freedom." The mashbill consists of 85% corn, 5% malted barley, 5% malted rye and 5% malted wheat. Aged 11-13 months (one month in new charred oak, the rest in first fill ex Port casks).

Tasting Notes

"Neat trick - mask the youth of the whiskey by dousing it in Port! So what does it taste like? Port with corn whiskey poured into it. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but that's not really a bourbon thing either."
